Dr. (Mrs.) Anita R. Daswani
A Member of Hahnemann Medical Society-Philadelphia, the Honorary Homeopath has been the Consultant to The SPJ Sadhana School, Mumbai (for the mentally challenged) from January 2004.
She specializes in Counseling & Treating children suffering from Autism, Mental retardation, Learning disabilities, and has been effective in helping medically a number of our students and staff. Her specialty has been the violent bouts of autistic students, digestive problems, aches and pains. Her medicines keep the student alert etc.
Mr. Minoo Kapadia - Counselor
Mr. Minoo Kapadia has been an honorary counselor in our school since July
1st 2003.He has made a difference to the wholeness of our young adults who
are cognitively disabled. Mr. Kapadia has his own unique method which is
called Psychological Hypnosis which has been very effective with our
students. He also uses the therapy of Silence as well as Rational Emotive
Behaviour Therapy (REBT). We have seen very challenging behavioural changes
and the students understand the values needed for living upright, fulfilled
lives.
Mr. Kapadia is an asset to our school and we are grateful for his effective
service to our students.
Tamar Apel - The Mathemagician
Tamer Apel the Mathemagician from Israel is the head of CIMEH (Center for the Introduction of Mathematics with Humanistic Approach). She started her magical journey to India and to SPJ Sadhana School in the month of November 2006.
From that time onwards she has been a visiting faculty of S.P.J.Sadhana School teaching new ways of learning mathematic for mentally handicapped children. She has trained all our teachers in “ Teaching Mathematics with a Humanistic Approach” and is constantly in touch with them assessing and designing innovative approaches to help the children learn maths.
She is the magic source behind the incarnation of teaching mathematics with a humanistic approach. She designed and implemented the humanistic methodology for the development of mathematical thinking in young children from 3 to 7 years of age.
Tamar is associated with the Central University of Venezuela, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Caracas, Venezuela. She is with National Pedagogic Institute, Department of Mathematics and Physics Teaching, Caracas, Venezuela, Bar Illan University and Ben Gurion University, Israel.
Hemant Trevedi - Consultant and Fashion Designer
Hemant Trevedi has been the leading force in Fashion and Glamour World for last 25 years. His association with Sadhana is over 10 years now. His continued belief in the abilities of the children of S.P.J. Sadhana School is rooted so deeply that every 4 years, he becomes a part and parcel of our Fashion Show event leading the students of Visual Arts & Craft and working jointly with them in designing and displaying their giftedness of creativity to the world.
He is the Executive Fashion Director of India’s most successful fashion plaza “Sheetal Clothing”. He created the “Sheetal Design Studio”, the first In-House Design Studio with a team of award winning, professionally trained student of fashion design.
