On 22nd July 2011, we celebrated Nelson Mandela Day at the School with the Consul General of South Africa, Mr Pule Malefane and 40 other South African residents of Mumbai.

This year we were happy to have our first Annual Sports Meet on 6th and 7th Jan 2011 at Priyadarshini Park. The meet was sponsored by Bank of Baroda. 98 students from SPJ Sadhana School, 43 from Om Creations and 42 from Shraddha Charitable Trust took part. The events were organized according to the abilities of the students and their interest in Sports activities.

On 2nd & 3rd Dec 2010, we had our 19th Annual Exhibition sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank. For sale there was a great variety of wood work, handpainted napkins & towels, coasters & tablemats, gift articles, gift bags, bookmarks, folders and a food court with live counters giving the flavour of “sixth sense” food with drinks, desserts.

Graduation Ceremony was held on March 10 2010. 51 young adults of our school moved into the work world. Chief Guest Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former presedent of India, handed over of the certificates to the students

‘Impressions & Expressions" An exhibition cum Sale on a collection of  Paintings by the Visual Arts Department was held on Thursday 26th  & Friday 27th November, 2009  at Gallery Art & Soul, Worli, Mumbai The focus of the exhibition was on the artistic talent of our students.

Because… I am, on 6th March 2009 became a talking point for who’s who in the city. It was a wonderful show at the NCPA. SPJ Sadhana School’s Visual Arts department in collaboration with designer-artist Hemant Trevedi and the team of Sheetal Design Studio. The only course in the world in collaboration with the fashion industry.

The 8 sequences with our students walking the ramp with the models in 3 sequences left the audience in tears.. It was an explosion of love and out of this world. Media did a good coverage.

A film “the making of “Because…I am” by award winner Aruna Raje set the tone of challenge/struggle to triumph of the day, was screened, making the training tangible for the audience.

Nritarutya from Bangalore had 3 dancers with six children put up a much appreciated dance programme on reach for the stars..aspiration.

It was good to be part of the 35,000 taking part in the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday 18th January 2009. The red T-shirts were sponsored by Provogue and Rotary Club of Peninusula.  Jasmine Pandya worked hard for the T-shirts and to get 200 to run for us.
